Mark closes this year off with a message of gratitude for this community. He encourages you to take the time to reflect and visit all your wins and lessons of 2022. Mark then has you put the power of positive emotions and deep breaths into manifesting what you will bring and create in 2023.
Today, Commander Divine takes you through the powerful practices of recapitulation and envisioning your future self. He encourages you to take a seat, connect to your breath, and revisit 2022. After you have explored what was, Commander Divine, asks you to envision yourself and how you will grow, evolve, adapt, and excel in 2023.

Quotes:
“Wrapping up things for what has been a very interesting year. It’s a good time to just pause and slow down and to reflect.” Mark Divine
“During the year, day by day in every way stronger and better. HooyahHey, you deliberately strive to be in the present moment not living in the past with regret, not projecting into the future with worry. And that presence is found through acceptance of what is as is, as it as it is okay? Because it is as it is. Whatever comes up, don’t judge it, don’t resist it.” Mark Divine
“And because you’re doing the work on your emotional bond, you’re letting go of the kettlebells of regret from the past, that were negative magnets, pulling you backwards. And you’re severing those energetic ties, releasing that energy, through your forgiveness practice, and your self awareness practice. And you stay present one day, one lifetime, every day showing up on purpose on target, in flow in presence, listening, with an open mind and open heart. Doing what feels right. And moving away from, and not doing what feels wrong. Or negative. Clearing your slate simplifying things decluttering your external and your internal environment, living in flow. This is your birthright.” Mark Divine

This is Mark Divine host of the Mark Divine show. Wrapping up things for what has been a very interesting year. It’s a good time to just pause and slow down and to reflect. I teach in my program, Unbeatable Mind a practice called recapitulation. We’ll do a short version here. We’re going to recapitulate our year. Take yourself back now, in your mind’s eye using your visualization skills, to the first week in January of 2022. What was your self concept then coming off of the holidays and 2021 the tumultuous Christmas and New Year’s season, all the craziness around shopping and commercialism and holidays and family.
And now it’s January, you have all sorts of aspirations, and goals for the year. You even have New Year’s resolutions, and maybe you’ve even launched into a cleanse or some sort of challenge. What was your sense of self like then, as you look into the first quarter now having it in the rearview mirror? What were the major challenges and obstacles that you endured and overcame? And what did you learn from them?
First quarter starts out slow, then suddenly, it’s behind us. And yet we’ve changed, some things have remained the same as one main thing has remained the same. That’s who you really are. But other things have changed. Circumstances have changed around you. Now you’re heading into the second quarter. April, May, June, what were the obstacles and the opportunities that you endured in the second quarter? How did you overcome them? What did you learn? Your a new person, things have changed. Appreciate the difference. All those goals you had in January, now they’ve changed and you’ve shifted focus, and you’re working on new things, new projects, and you’re heading into the third quarter, July, August, September. What were the obstacles and opportunities that you endured and overcame? In this third quarter, through summer, summer time? Kids out of school, vacations, lots of sunshine.

And you get to September, the end of September, heading into fall. And something’s different. Appreciate the growth, appreciate the differences as you head into the fourth quarter, October, November, December, bringing us to the present moment. What were the obstacles, opportunities and challenges that you endured in this fourth quarter? What did you learn? How have you changed?
Now let’s take the entire arc of this year, all four quarters, get a sense for how you’ve changed how you’ve grown, what you’ve learned, the obstacles you’ve overcome the new people in your life and maybe people who didn’t belong in your life, have exited. You’re more positive, you’re stronger, you’re healthier, you’re more insightful. You have changed. Appreciate the change. Understand the momentum and the strength has given you as you now look forward into 2023. And I’d like you to do a future me visualization. So take yourself now to December, late December of 2023. You’ve had 12 months now, in the future self, you’ve 12 months of daily training to improve yourself, working on your breath awareness, working on your positivity and positive mental dialogue. You’re working on your physical structure; being healthy, more balanced, more aware. You’re working on your gratitude and forgiveness practice; opening up and letting light in love flow through you. Becoming less judgmental, less reactive, deconstructing the bias conditioning, so that you’re more open and flowing with life.
And you look forward and you get a sense for this new, more evolved version of yourself. What does that look like? What does it feel like? What is your why? Lock this vision in, but allow it to be flexible to grow as your vision grows. And come back and practice this vision every morning in your morning routine, morning ritual. Lock on that future vision and just know that it is you now and it’s the emergent you. It’s a powerful practice. It’s a great one to do at the end of every year, recapitulate the past year, project it to the end of the next year. And continue to accelerate your growth. Your evolution as a spiritual being having this temporary human existence in this incredible playground we have that we call earth. During the year, day by day in every way stronger and better. HooyahHey, you deliberately strive to be in the present moment not living in the past with regret, not projecting into the future with worry. And that presence is found through acceptance of what is as is, as it as it is okay? Because it is as it is.
Whatever comes up, don’t judge it, don’t resist it. You surrender to it and accept it. But of course, because of that future vision, you’re relentlessly moving toward that, because that memory of that future that you’re practicing every morning is like a massive magnet, pulling you forward. And because you’re doing the work on your emotional bond, you’re letting go of the kettlebells of regret from the past, that were negative magnets, pulling you backwards. This is your birthright.
