WHAT’S INSPIRING ME
In the SEAL teams, we operated with an attitude of “slow is smooth, smooth is fast,” allowing us to be calm and effective even in the most dangerous environments. This mantra highlights the power of deliberate practice and repetition. Each time we train a deliberate movement and refine our skill, if it is done well and with precision, it helps us master our actions. I find inspiration by slowing down some of my daily tasks and honing my attention to the present moment.

PRACTICE OR HABIT TO TRY
Bear Crawl for Strength and Focus: Dedicate three minutes daily to the bear crawl for an impactful strength-building and focus-enhancing routine. Begin with a one-minute warm-up, then set your three-minute timer and commit. Get into a tabletop position, lift your knees slightly, and start crawling forward, focusing on maintaining proper form and controlled movements. Pay attention to your breath, inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling fully through the mouth to stay centered. As you crawl, engage your core and challenge yourself to maintain consistency and intensity. After the crawl, cool down briefly with gentle stretches targeting the muscles involved. Reflect on your progress and set goals for future sessions. Consistent practice will yield improvements in both strength and focus over time.
