Mark here. Here’s what we have in store for this week…
WHAT I’M WRITING ABOUT
Success Is a Team Sport
As we embark on 2025, many of us are setting ambitious goals. However, it’s crucial to recognize that success is rarely achieved in isolation. The most significant accomplishments often result from the support and collaboration of others. Whether it’s a mentor, a friend, or an accountability partner, the power of shared effort becomes essential, especially when facing challenges.
Key Strategies for Uncommon Achievement in 2025:
Cultivate Meaningful Connections: Set specific relationship goals to strengthen your support network. This can be dedicating 30 minutes daily to engaging in conversations with your team or reaching out to a friend weekly to offer support and check on their progress. Having someone who challenges you to stay engaged makes your goals more tangible and achievable.
Get a Swim Buddy: Regardless of your objective—be it professional growth, health improvement, or personal development—having someone to keep you accountable is invaluable. In the SEAL Teams, we called it a swim buddy. Share your goals with others instead of setting them in isolation. An accountability partner will challenge you to show up, even on difficult days, remind you of your potential when you feel incompetent, hold you to your highest standards, and encourage consistent action, especially during challenging times.
Growth flourishes through connection, not isolation. Investing in relationships not only builds stronger support systems but also enriches our lives in ways that elevate us beyond individual capabilities.
As we pursue our goals in 2025, remember that true leadership begins with self-discipline but thrives in community. Let’s commit to challenging, supporting, and persevering through difficult moments as a team. Here’s to a year of Uncommon Achievement—where we show up for ourselves and each other every day. Together, we will achieve greatness in 2025.

Catherine, a Master Unbeatable Mind Coach, combines two decades of yoga teaching and studies with strategic insight and intuitive healing to help leaders overcome challenges, build resilience, and strengthen their mind-body-soul connection. Together, we share practical wisdom on how breathwork can elevate leadership, improve performance, and enhance overall well-being.

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. – Viktor Frankl
PRACTICE OR HABIT TO TRY
The 20% Digital Detox: Start the new year by reducing your screen time to enhance focus and build stronger relationships. Track your daily device usage and aim to reduce it by 20%. For example, if you spend five hours a day on devices, commit to reducing it to four hours a day. Set boundaries around specific times you will be off your devices—such as during meals, mornings, or before bed—and turn off notifications to reduce distractions. Use this time to recharge with activities like journaling, walking, or connecting face-to-face. Journaling during your detox will deepen self-reflection, clarify goals, and enhance leadership. After one week, expect improved clarity and space for new ideas and goals.
